Dr. Robert C. Stephens is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky and joined the group in 1980. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. degree in biological sciences. He completed his dental studies at the University of Kentucky and completed his residency in pedodontics at the children’s Medical center in Dayton, Ohio in 1979. Dr. Stephens is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Florida Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
He and his wife, Joyanne have one son,
Clark. Joyanne is the Vice-President of Regional Campuses and an Associate
Provost for Florida Atlantic University. He enjoys golf, swimming,
basketball, fishing and travel as hobbies and recreation.
Dr. Bennett has received many awards, including a Certificate of Merit from the American Society of Dentistry for Children and the Graduate Student Research Award from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Bennett is a member of the American and Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Bennett presently lives in Pompano
Beach with his wife Mindy, an elementary school teacher and their twins, Lorelei
and Jonah.
Dr. Lauren Governale joined the practice of South Florida Dentistry for Children & Orthodontics, as a pediatric dentist in 2000. She is a native of Broward County, graduating from Cardinal Gibbons High School. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. She then received a Master’s Degree in Dental Public Health from the University of Florida. She and her husband have two children, Mary Lynn and Virginia.
